Sentences are the building blocks of writing: they control, shape, and color our language. In this class, we will explore how our sentence structure shapes and creates meaning. We will look at a range of sentences—complex, compound, simple—from a host of different writers to broaden our understanding and discover new ways of stringing words together.
This class is for writers of all genres. Come prepared to write! We'll model, mimic, and play with the various forms we encounter to put our observations immediately into practice.
