In this class we'll dig into what makes dialogue work in fiction and how to make it work in our own writing. We'll start by studying key, dialogue-heavy scenes from great writers, and progress from there to work on our own scenes with a chance to write and revise. The goal is for us to leave the class with a short revised scene of our own!

Liz Riggs is the author of Lo Fi, out July 9 with Riverhead Books. She holds an MFA from NYU, and her work has been featured in The Atlantic, Bon Appétit, MTV, American Songwriter Magazine and others. She lives in East Nashville with her husband and dogs
