If you’ve been wanting to try writing formal poetry in a fun, supportive environment, this course is for you. We’ll look at examples of short forms (Couplet, Triolet, Cinquain, Pantoum, Tanka) and practice writing them together in class. Experience what it’s like to “play” with syllable counting, lineation, and repetition—and strengthen your ear for poetry.
Formal Poetry Playtime welcomes writers of high school age and above.
