This summer, set your creative spirit ablaze with IGNITE!, our inaugural Writing Camp for Adults, to take place in the evenings on the week of June 17. You're welcome to attend all five sessions or opt for individual drop-in sessions as you prefer.
Whether you’re tangled in the web of writer’s block, seeking to establish a steady writing practice, or simply in search of a creative community, IGNITE! is your beacon. Each evening, Monday through Friday, immerse yourself in transformative sessions led by a diverse lineup of instructors, each bringing their own innovative and possibly intersecting approaches to the craft of writing. Our camp caters to enthusiasts of all genres, aiming to motivate, inspire, and perhaps most importantly, to move you from inertia to action. The grand finale? Lauren Nossett’s debut novel, The Resemblance (Flatiron Books) was listed as a 2023 Books All Georgians Should Read, nominated as a Best First Book by International Thriller Writers, and called “elegant and thoughtful” by The New York Times. Her second novel, The Professor, will be published in November 2023. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where she has recently begun hosting a weekly vegan supper club in an effort to improve her cooking skills.
"Lauren gave me clear, actionable, supportive feedback every step of the way. She was generous in sharing her experience as a professional novelist. I emerged from this workshop with a much clearer vision of how I could improve my manuscript in a major way."
"I’d finished the first few drafts of my novel and then thought 'now what?' This course on revision was so helpful in improving my story, and the last class about finding an agent was so helpful. Loved Lauren and this class!"
"This class opened up a completely new way of thinking and writing for me. I would highly recommend this class and Lauren to anyone working on revision."
