Affinity Groups

Affinity groups at The Porch provide a safe space for writers and readers of particular identities and life stages to share the written word, hone their craft, and strengthen shared community. Meetups are led by trained facilitators and include opportunities for mingling, prompt-based writing, sharing, and open discussion.

Heartbreak Happy Hour

Heartbreak Happy Hour is our annual, Valentine’s Day-adjacent storytelling show, and one of our most anticipated events each year, held at the Jackalope Ranch Taproom in February. Since our first year in operation, we’ve invited local storytellers to share stories of bad dates, awkward obsession, lonelyhearts hijinks, cringe romance, revenge gone wrong, and more.

Stay tuned for info about our 2025 show, to be held in mid-February.

We’re saving you a seat.

Literary friends, right this way. Membership supports our mission and comes with perks.
