How should a writer describe the internal workings of a character who has no feelings at all? The purpose of the class is to understand the nature of sociopathy in order to better illustrate it in character development and in storytelling. We’ll explore the causative factors of sociopathy as well as elements of their motivations, and will distinguish the differences between a sociopathy and narcissist. The class will touch on historical notions of sociopathy and will help writers describe this element of personality that frequently factors into mysteries and thrillers.
